Things You Should Not Use In A Microwave Oven
Everybody knows there are certain things you should never put in a microwave. Some things spark, other things will explode, and most of those things will cause damage to your appliance. If you stick a jawbreaker in the microwave, it’ll explode and burn everyone in its trajectory. People have done experiments with jawbreakers to see what extreme heat does to them. When you put them in the microwave, you should know the center cooks before the outside does, so you can heat up the center to extreme heats before you even notice anything. As soon as you crack that shell open, you better hope you’re not in the line of fire when it explodes. The insides shoot out and burn anything and everything in its path. People who are the victims of such explosions have experienced third degree burns and permanent scarring from it.
Most people know about metal in the microwave. You should never put any kind of metal in the microwave. If you forget and decide to cook a can of beans in the can, you will start to hear sparks and popping sounds as soon as you turn the microwave on. If it’s only left in there for a few seconds, you might be ok. But even the smallest amount of exposure to metal might damage your microwave. Many people know not to put metal in the microwave but might accidentally reheat something on a plate that’s lined with metal, or they might leave their fork or spoon in their bowl before hitting the Start button. Within the first couple of seconds, they should begin to hear the popping and sparking sounds and will most likely panic and rush to the microwave to open the door and stop the microwave process.
If you leave certain pieces of metal in the microwave for a long period of time, you will destroy your microwave. Some people do this on purpose, but most people who forget to use microwave save bowls and plates, or happen to leave their utensils on their plate when they microwave their dish; most of these people will leave and let the microwave do its job all the while not realizing that they might have just ruined their new appliance. If they just purchased it, they might be able to return it and replace it for another one. However, this might not fall under what’s covered by the warranty.
Some people have also placed bugs or small animals in the microwave. This produces a very disgusting and unnerving result. It’s a very cruel thing to do to any living creature. If you place a mouse or insect in the microwave, it’ll explode. The only exception to this rule is the cockroach. Cockroaches have managed to survive a few minutes of microwave rays, but no other living creature has followed suit. This is a messy experiment and also a cruel one. You shouldn’t place any living creature of any kind in your microwave.
